This notice covers this website only. Queue and Heimdal each publish their own notice, because they collect different data for different reasons and rolling them together would tell you less, not more.

Who is responsible
BearLog is the controller of any personal data collected through this website. You can reach us at support@bearlog.app.
What we collect
This site has no forms and collects nothing from you. If you write to us, we hold the email you sent and whatever you chose to put in it. The website itself is not involved in that: it only shows you an address.
We run no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking cookies on this site. Two things still leave a trace, and it is fairer to say so than to imply a perfect record. Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs, which include IP addresses. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so requesting a page tells Google your IP address.
Why we hold it, and for how long
We use enquiry details only to answer the enquiry and to carry on the conversation that follows it. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in replying to people who write to our business. Enquiries that do not become work are deleted once the conversation has clearly ended. Enquiries that become projects are kept as part of the client record for as long as tax and contract law requires us to keep it.
Who else sees it
Nobody in the middle. Your email goes to our inbox directly, with no form service or enquiry platform in between. Our email provider and our hosting provider necessarily process data in transit and at rest, which is the whole list. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not send marketing to people who contacted us about a project.
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected, have it erased, object to how we use it, or receive a copy of it. Write to support@bearlog.app and we will act on it within a reasonable period. There is no charge, and you do not have to give a reason.
Changes
If this notice changes materially we will change the date at the top. The current version is always the one on this page.
